Every Kenwood mixer on this site uses Planetary Action - indeed the Chef has featured this since its launch.

The principle is very simple; The beater socket is mounted off-centre on a plate that rotates in the opposite direction. This allows the beaters to reach every part of the mixing bowl with no assistance from the operator.

The other great advantage of Planetary Action is that it makes the Kenwood Chef extraordinarily versatile with mixture capacities - it can whisk a single egg white or knead over two kilogrammes of dough.
